Die Casting Manufacturing Process

1.Order Receip

After the customer places an order, our engineers will discuss the die casting mold structure and technical solutions with the buyer. We will work hard to avoid unnecessary errors in the pressure die casting process, and provide our customers with the highest quality die casting parts.

2.Die Casting Mold Design

When designing the die casting mold, we will pay attention to make the structure of the aluminum or zinc casting molds and parts reasonable. The die casting mold design affects the shape, configuration, quality and stability of the die casting products during the pressure die casting process. Reasonable casting mold design is easy to manufacture and it can increase efficiency and production time.

3.Die Casting Mold Flow Simulation

Professional mold flow analysis can pre-discover defects that may exist in the pressure die casting mould, saving the cost of trial and mold modification. For example, the optimization of the pouring scheme helps to determine the hot runner entry point and confirm whether there is “shrinkage”. The die casting manufacturing process for mold flow analysis can also combine the position of the wire, reduce the warpage, improve cooling efficiency, shorten the molding cycle, etc.

4.Mold Design Modification

5.Die Casting Mold Production

6.Die Casting Mold Trial

Mold testing is the pressure die casting process of optimizing the new mold to be effectively manufactured. We will perform mold tests based on the information provided by the customer to ensure that the correct parameters are set on the injection molding machine, such as mold temperature, injection pressure, cooling time, holding pressure and holding time.

7.Die Casting Mold Modification

If the mold is found to be further optimized before the final die casting, we will proceed with the mold modification step, which is one of the important steps for pressure die casting process. Our mold shop is fully equipped to make most molds. Provide customers with a variety of customized molds.

8.Aluminum and Zinc Die Casting

The molten alloy is pressed under pressure into a firmly locked metal mold cavity. It is then held by a powerful press until the metal solidifies. After the metal has set, the casting is taken out. Close the mold and lock it again for the next cycle. Then we will turn to next aluminium or zinc die casting process.

9.Trimming

Die casting trim dies cut or shear extra aluminum allloys from die-cast parts. When the trimming casting mold is forced down, excess metal in the part is cut away to provide a clean edge to the part.

10.Precision Machining

Ryan has an in-house CNC machining shop to provide customer precision machining service after aluminum die casting and zinc die casting process. Till 2020, Ryan has over 60 sets of CNC turning machines and four-axis CNC machine centers.

11.Cleaning

Cleaning is a different pressure die casting process performed to remove sand, scale and excess alloys from the die casting parts. Remove burnt sand and scales. Remove excess metal fins, wires, parting fins, and gates. And finally, test and check the final product to see if there are any defects.

12.Package

Now we have finally come to the final step of high pressure die casting process. We will place the finished die casting products in a standard wooden box. Ensure that the product is not damaged. We can also provide customized packaging services according to the special requirements of our customers.
